105+ years old, and now brand new! This canvas poster is a reproduction from a genuine 1906 postcard. We photographed the original postcard at very high resolution (18.1 MIO pix., 18.9MB file).
We retouched the borders and corners (wear, small pieces missing) and made the original colours more vibrant. We also added matching borders On the card you see a view of Lake Massabesic and to the left there's a boy standing on the porch of a wooden house or cabin.
Massabesic Lake is a lake in southern New Hampshire, United States, covering about 2,561 acres (equivalent to about 4 square miles) within the city of Manchester and the town of Auburn. Because it provides drinking water for Manchester, swimming and water skiing are not allowed there. However, fishing and boating are popular.
Besides flowing into the Manchester water system, the lake's water feeds Cohas Brook, leading to the Merrimack River. Massabesic is an Indian name, meaning "place of much water" or "near the great brook".(source: wikipedia)
