A quiet and reflective photograph of a mysterious man taken at the Getty Centre in Los Angeles, CA. The corresponding quote by Kafka reads "A cage went in search of a bird." There is a play between the image and the quote since the image mimics that of a cage yet the man is really on the outside of it. He is peering at the viewer. When I took the photo, I didn't think it would come out quite so bold and visual. I love the mood it evokes, one of quiet contemplation but still it doesn't take itself too seriously. I like it also because it draws you in literally because you have get close to see the man's face.
