On December 6, 2007, the United States Congress passed a bill designating the first week of June as "National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Awareness Week." The passing of this bill brings to light the importance of learning life-saving skills such as conducting CPR and operating an AED, as well as the importance of having readily accessible AEDs throughout our communities.
