Oh, I love this painting! The green colours of absinthe.... this languorous mermaid seems to embody the indulgent spirit of absinthe. Here eyes flash green, her luxuriant blonde hair streams over the roots and rocks (with sinister skull-like visages). You will see she holds a traditional absinthe spoon in one hand, and a green bottle floads away from her grasp on the absinthe-green waves. My own original acrylic painting.
