Soviet PO-2 training aeroplane. The two-seater biplane of the mixed construction with open cockpit and non-retractable landing gear. It was created under guidance of Polikarpov in 1928. PO-2 was purposed for mass flying personnel training. During Second World War PO-2 was actively used for performance of fighting tasks: investigation of a fire line of the opponent, communication of command with staff, evacuation of wounded from battle places, supply of guerrilla groups and also as fight light bomber.
