This is a reproduction of John Tenniel's original illustration "Drink Me" for Alice in Wonderland. It depicts Alice reading the message "Drink Me" which is attached to the bottle containing the seemingly harmles drink.

John Tenniel first created the famous "Alice illustrations" for Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carrol in 1865. In 1890, Tenniel agreed to supervise the colouring of 20 if his black and white illustrations. This is one of the colourized images.
