The charming antique (vintage) images on this mug were scanned from framed pages from a ca. 1830-1840--or earlier--children's book. The (handcolored?) illustrations have beneath them the name of the objects, first in German, then in French, then in English -- a sort of Rosetta Stone for children. Fill the mug with packets of hot chocolate, or small healthy treats and wrap it in cellophane, tied with a ribbon, for a gift for your favourite little --or grown -- person, so they can learn a foreign language with breakfast.
