This is a reproduction of the surrealistic portrait of Autumn, painted by the Italian Renaissance Mannerist painter Giuseppe Acrimboldo almost five hundred years ago. ~ Giuseppe Acrimboldo (1530-1593) is known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of as fruits, vegetables, flowers and fish. He had a definite influence on Salvadore Dali, who liked to refer to him as "the father of Surrealism."
