This illustration was inspired by the phrase "Armed to the tooth", I wondered what a tooth would look like armed. I drew a series of teeth wearing different weapons and poses. This is the resulting image.
The phrase is actually quite old. It means to be overly prepared, or well equipped. The idiom gained traction in the mid 1800's, but was first used around the 14th century. Out of the 2 sayins "Armed to the tooth" and Armed to the teeth" the teeth one is the more common one today.
