Art card by John Dyer of "Relaxing Red Pandas". Painted during John's residency with Darwin 200.

John Dyer is one of the Britain’s leading artists. He has a large global following and has worked as an artist in residence for many major organisations around the world. His work hangs in the permanent collections of national organisations and galleries including, The Eden Project,The National Trust , Save the Children and now EskimoKids !

"John's work is pure painted joy -unbuttoned, jumping up-and-down, salty, earthy, laugh-out-loud, natural energy. His pictures make you want to touch felty leaves, squeeze fat fruit, push your nose into flowers and breathe deeply. It's no surprise that his paintings are popular the world over; whether he is painting a vineyard in Provence, the Humid Tropics at Eden, or docks and beaches in his own native Falmouth, he touches a very human need - the innocent thirst for light, pattern and colour. We sense in John's paintings the sheer human thrill of being alive.” Sue Hill, The Eden Project.

"There is an innocence and freshness to John Dyer's art that follows a tradition in Cornwall. Rather than trying to record what he sees, John sets out to capture the 'essence' of his subject. It is his ability to capture the 'essence' of what is important that seems to appeal to those who have shown great vision and originality in their own careers, such as Tim Smit, Alan Titchmarsh, Toyah Willcox and Kim Wilde who are all collectors of the artists paintings."
