Art Dog Coat.

John Dyer is Cornwall's best known contemporary Naive artist. He paints immersed in the landscape of the county. This design features John Dyer's famous crazy dogs. "We are very excited to have our new gallery mascot who will be making an appearance in our paintings this year. 'Digory' is a standard Dachshund and joins a list of famous little friends from art history. One of the most famous was 'Lump' the Dachshund owned by Picasso. Andy Warhol, David Hockney and Pierre Bonnard also owned and painted these visually fun dogs." John Dyer.

ARTIST INFORMATION
John Dyer is one of the UK's most exciting and well known artists. His work is collected internationally and his paintings have been the subject of popular television programmes and a wide range of merchandise. John has worked as Artist in residence for many organisations including Eden Project, Bioversity International, Banrock Station and Darwin200.

"There is an innocence and freshness to John Dyer's art that follows a tradition in Cornwall. Rather than trying to record what he sees, John sets out to capture the 'essence' of his subject.
