'Attaching the Wing' Apron by picklelillysdad
One more for the aircraft enthusiasts out there! This is from an old photo, taken about 25 years ago. The wing is being attached to the trike just prior to taking off from a Cornish field near St. Ives. The black dog (Sooty) would run alongside for the first few yards on take-off, barking excitedly and staying well clear of the large wooden propeller. Christine has nothing to do with this image, apart from taking the original photo-----Oh! and she helped pay for the flying machine. Love her :-) P.S. I'd like her to do this one in watercolour. (The exciting flying and handling characteristics of this delightful machine are vividly described in a thrilling episode which can be found in my apocalyptic novel, A Time To Run, now available in Kindle and eBook format).
