Babies in Borneo by Rebecca_Reeder
How many orangutans do you see? There are seven youngsters in this photo from Kalimantan, Indonesia (the island of Borneo.) However, there's only a glimpse of an arm for some of them. Orangutans are peaceful vegetarians, and sadly, are an endangered species. Orangutans are the only great ape surviving in the wild outside of the African continent and are found on only two isolated spots on our planet -the island of Borneo and the island of Sumatra. The word orangutans means "people of the forest." When they gaze into your eyes, it touches your heart and soul.
