The Biedermeier period (Regency period in England) was one of the great periods of male fashion. Men wore close fitting dress coats or evening coats, top hats, and coloured waist coats. At the time, some men even wore corsets to achieve the perfect figure (see the man on the left!). The magazine Le Bon Tonne was launched in Paris in the 1830s. We have carefully digitally restored this image to that it can be printed at the largest sizes. Would make a wonderful illustration for a men's dressing room in a department or clothing store.
