This design features an imitation antique pocket watch. Classic pocketwatches were the most common from 16th century until wristwatches became popular after World War I. Pocket watches generally have an attached chain to allow them to be secured to a waistcoat, lapel or belt loop and sometimes mounted on a short leather strap or fob. Chains were often decorated with a silver, gold or an enamel pendant.
