The crinkle of wrapping paper and shinny bows leads to much mischief from the kitten as he attacks another Christmas bow. Whimsical Sumi-e, Japanese style ink painting in colour. I have long been fascinated with Eastern art, so it’s not surprising that a friend’s gift of a book on Japanese brush-painting, brushes, paper and ink inspired me to experiment with Sumi-e. I was excited and surprised to find an art form that combined humour and joy with serious spiritual and philosophical meaning.

Our medium length apron has three spacious pockets in the front so it holds everything whether you’re cooking, painting or gardening. It’s made from a 35/65 cotton-poly twill blend and it’s machine washable. Slightly wider than our longer version it’s 61cm L x 71cm W.
