Bighorn sheep are very agile and sure footed, running and jumping from ledge to ledge on the steep mountain terrain they call home. Full grown rams weigh well over 200 pounds and can reach 300 pounds. Females, or ewes, average 100 pounds. Bighorn sheep like to live quiet secluded lives in the highest mountains of the West. Their habitat reaches from Canada through the U.S. and into northern Mexico.
