These blue poppies are called Meconopsis Beticonfolia and the first time I heard of them was in Butchard Gardens on Vancouver Island, BC. They have incredible golden centres and are really the colour of sky blue. They are in the coke glass cause they are the 'real thing'. I wouldn't have believed it if Big Bird hadn't told me. He travelled everywhere and looked through many a window with me. Smart big bird brain.
