Boreas vs the Persians by Nightmareartist

This piece started out as a commission that included two banners, one above and one below the figure. The top read "St Michael" and the bottom read "Protect Us In Battle".

As I continued, I began to see him as Boraes, the Greek God of Winter and the North Wind. He lived in Thrace, kidnapped the Athenian King's daughter for a wife and saved the Athenians from an invasion by the Persian navy. That is how I present him here.
