Borneo Cat Greeting Cards by Rebecca_Reeder
This short or bob-tailed cat is considered unique to Borneo, the third largest island in the world. Everything that I have researched states that this cat (sometimes called a Malay Cat in periodicals from previous centuries) is not a Manx. In my photo, this little cat had just emerged from the shrubbery, and stopped just long enough for me to snap this picture. (Photographed in Kalimantan, Indonesia.)

Ah yes, mochimo - - I didn't intend to suggest that the fur markings or color were extra special.
LOL. Qe see all sorts of tail stub lengths. And, as you say, some have no tail at all. But they are not considered a Manx.

The mark pattern of the cats are common in South Borneo, they are seen everywhere LoL. Yes, they are short tailed one, some are tailless.

He's a real cutie!!!
Hi Rebecca. Thanks for leaving the Comments on my Wall. The story of the Rainbow Bridge makes me cry too and Purdy was so special to us. Purdy (we think) was a Maine Coon or Norwegian Forest Cat Cross. He had the cutest pantaloons of fur and a Character to match. Love you gecko pics. We just have the plain pink ones here in the house. (They all have names too) Jen
