Chariot of Apollo - by Symbolist Odilon Redon Print
This is a quality reproduction of "Chariot of Apollo," created by Odilon Redon, circa 1912.It was created as an oil and pastel on canvas and is in the collection of the Musée D'Orsay, Paris, France. In this masterpiece, Redon depicts the Greek sun god Apollo as he rides his chariot across the heavens.

Redon was a French Symbolist painter known for his paintings of mythology and flowers. Although he was a contemporary of Monet and Renoir, Impressionism was not for him. Redon preferred an art of subjectivity and imagination. He was regarded by many of the Surrealists as their precursor.
