"Flight of the Bumblebee" was written by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov for his opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan.
This very unique piece of artwork is a pleasing and different direction in my art explorations. The bee, constructed as it is, is more of an abstract hint of a bee or a concept of a bee rather than an actual drawing of one. The body, thorax, head, feet and wings are all mere suggestions, yet together they positively say "Bee". This is not a matched set with the other similar artwork. The size is different and the background has a slightly different intensity.
