Robert, Atheism is not a belief system, its simply a statement. "There are no gods controlling anything". There is no rituals that accompany this position. There is NO church of Atheism. To call Atheism faith based is to call bald a hair color. Croad803 - Atheist's don't claim to know the answers to everything, it is only through admitting that we don't know the answer to something, that this world has developed socially, culturally, and technologically. The ability to admit you simply don't know something is what separates Atheist's for the religious population. When science admits it doesn't know something, religion answers "God did that". Without logical and critical thinking we would still be preying for health and dancing for rainfall.

Too much faith-based crap on this site

I am surprised at the number of religious designs on this site. I thought the Church of Athiesm was against self-promotion? Oh well, athiests are just Christians without a god to worship. Both are equally faith-based, one has faith in everything, the other faith in nothing. I have NO faith so not even the Athiests will accept me! i wish there was a group based on logic and reason and engineering principals with ZERO religion and ZERO politics....and there is: Freemasonry.
