This is the 2nd design in the "Jinglz" Christmas line. Years ago when my son was in cub scouts, one of his badge projects was to create Christmas cards and give them to residents of care facilities. As I helped him make the cards, I came up with ways to make the cards more "interactive" (sound, textures, movement, etc.), and as a result created the "jingle bell characters", now called "Jinglz". On each card, the characters had "googly eyes", and a sewn-on jingle bell; felt, old dyed T-shirt rags, synthetic leather & fur, cotton, and fabric paint made up their bodies and clothes. Glitter and decorative reflective paper completed the scenes. Sometimes real wood and straw were incorporated also. Since those types of cards obviously can't be recreated for Zazzle, I went with the next best thing and recreated each scene by digitally painting it with the help of Photoshop, a Wacom tablet and stylus. Christmas will be here soon--jazz up your holidays with Jinglz!
Jingle Bell Lamb & Baby Jesus postcard by BeckCalli View more Beckcalli Postcards
