@Danny. Who said I was a buddhist? Buddhism is fairly relaxed about the "truths of the universe", basically encouraging people to think what they like. So yeah, it can often be a bit of a push to call it a religion, which again begs the question as to why it's on this shirt.
@synful I never once said that all Buddhists were peaceful, just as I would never claim that all Atheists are peaceful. What a ridiculous notion. The Sri Lankan conflict is not in the name of Buddhism.
then either renounce your cosmologies-- the speculations passed of as truths about the universe or stop calling yourself a religion then. The fact is buddhism rarely gets assigned to this category as westerners still see it as foreign and tend to ignore it when talking about religion.
Go make the sound of universe being created somewhere else-- ridiculousness
Though there may be no specific wars related to Buddhism, it was pushed onto other societies (back in Classical History). Silk Road trade brought Buddhism to others to gain converts, which could have potentially caused a riff. So Buddhists were pushing their own agenda. I'm not entirely sure this happens now, but its just about the same as Christian missionaries nowadays.
Also, in early China, the introduction of Buddhism made some authorities pretty unhappy.
I hate the fact that Buddhism gets lumped with all the other religions. Buddhism is an intrinsically peaceful religion, I challenge you to find me conflict or war due to Buddhism.
Also, Buddhism doesn't have a "God". Buddha was a real person, whose teachings (largely based on peace, might it be noted) are followed.
