Orangutans are extremely gentle and intelligent vegetarians, showing emotions with their facial expressions, as evidenced on this poster where a beautiful toddler pouts, contemplates, smiles, and laughs. She is considered quite a beauty with her thick, long auburn hair!
One hundred percent of the artist's profits from the sale of this poster and all orangutan products in this gallery are used to support orangutan orphan rescue, rehabilitation, and release back into protected areas of the rain forest. Don't feel bad about how fast you get back to people. We all are in the same boat, so to speak! Sometimes, if I see a new visitor, instead of answering right there at my store, I will go right to their store and answer intstead. I've been making more stores so it's hard to do it all at the speed of light, lol! I have many that seem unanswered but many times I will have gone to their store to answer, like I said..... Have a great day! Lorrie
Thanks so much. There have been some television programs about Orangutan Foundation over the decades because the founder - Dr. Birute Galdikas - is one of the 3 original women primatologists selected by Dr. Leakey in the 1970's 9Jane Goodall and the late Dian Fossey were the other two) The orangutans are sooo entertaining; it's just so sad to have them all be orphans.
Lorrie-- great idea! I am working on one school project at the moment...
I might need to widen my scope! I appreciate all of the ideas. Zizzago, I miss comments at different times, too. Sometimes if I happen to go back and look at one of my own products to be sure I haven't left in some out of date piece of info, I see comments from different Zazzlers. Some are a year or more old, and I feel badly about not getting back to people.
I did see the elephant sanctuary/school/orphanage on t.v. once and it showed the woman in charge of that one. I wonder if your orangutans will end up on tv in the futre.
Love it! saw a program on orang-utans last week and they well deserve the highlights you give them! *********************************** on this and all of the others!
I am just now realiziing how many supporting comments are here for this poster. It really means a lot to me , and I appreciate all of the nice people on Zazzle!
