Recognizing Strawmen when you see them

So a strawman fallacy is when one attacks a weaker form of a position or argument than the one that is actually held by the opponent. Presumably, if the "religious logic" satirized above is a strawman, then somewhere out there is a stronger form of religious logic that would need to be addressed. However, the raw indignation and intimidation approach seems to really lie at the heard of religious thinking, and if there is any stronger case to be made, I have not seen it. In short, for this to be a strawman, there has to be a "real man" somewhere around. I'm not sure there is.
