Satanic Goat Wall Art Poster by RabidCrow
The Levi Baphomet from the 19th century reimagined and presented here in flaming colour for the new Satanic era. This will look greating hanging on the wall of your castle. Available as a poster, print or as a painting on canvas. Framed or unframed. In 1854, French occultist Eliphas Levi published his famous book on the Doctrine and Ritual of Transcendental Magic. The frontispiece included an engraving of the horned god which he called "Baphomet" and "The Goat of Mendes." The image horrified many and inspired others in what has been called the French occult revival of the 19th century. The figure represented the absolute and featured various occult symbols including a point-up pentagram on the forehead, mudra handsigns, and the words "Solve" and "Coagula" on the arms. Despite the graphic's intended of representing occult wisdom generally, orthodox Christians have long chraacterised it as satanic. Those of a truly devilish bent, however, have tended to find the old image dated, tame and thus uninspiring. Here that classic image is re-created with explicitly Satanic imagery and symbols; the point-down pentagram, the inverted cross, the 666, the brimstone alchemical glyph, etc. Let there be no question of representation of this archetype. No need to wear a slightly disturbing, ambiguously evil symbol. Now you can have a provocative, unmistakably satanic image.

Satanism is Spiritualism
I love the colours and how they blend wonderfully for a passionate look at the image of Baphomet. And I much adore the Satanic Pentagram adorning the head. I would have preferred, however, the remaining symbols being left alone. "Solve et Coagula," Baphomet's raised hand sign and the other symbols giving an image of occult wisdom offers a much more accurate representation of Satanism than do the Metal goat horns and the trite number of the beast. That being said, other than "666" taking place, I like the rarity of this particular image. Such a captivating image of Baphomet adorned with inverted crosses is a cool sight, and not as many people are familiar with it, let alone own a poster of it. The changes are subtle at first glance, and while some bother me a little, the colour played much more heavily on my decision in buying this empowering symbol of one of the greatest religious icons.
