maybe a little humility is in order? Heterosexual Pride is something like White Pride, iin that it leads one to ask onself "Of what, exactly?"
And then if one happens to be a married heterosexual white person - trying to do something worth being proud of - like not wearing a shirt advertising that you are proud of what happend by accendent to you, without having to think about it or suffer even a little to get it.
In other words, yes, the proper response is another tee shirt. And comments such as this, pointing out that self-rightious christianity is Jesus's least favorite sort.
BTW, since when did marriage have anything to do with being a christian? Do not Jews marry? Wiccans? Jehova's Witnesses? Scientologists? Are not athiests and Satanists both empowred to marry, if they procure credentials?
In typical fashion, those who shout the loudest about others causing trouble are often the cause of trouble themselves. I would expect no different from a gay fallenangel. We don't spend any time going to the hundreds of gay products and bash them and nanny nanny boo boo them. Not one. Freedom of speech goes both ways, and not even Michael Moore can say otherwise.
To answer your question, gay is the opposite of straight, and to promote marketing, yes, that keyword was used. And yes, of course attention is wanted in this forum, otherwise why post? Does not the entire community here crave attention?
Oh, and Bush won 4 more years. Expect a shirt.
We are not getting in the way of anyone's civil rights by saying we are proud of heterosexual marriage. The affirmation of one point of view does not conversely suggest the condemnation of another. For civil rights, write your Congressman or contact the ACLU. For matters of Christian faith, Jesus is the way.
See...it's not about PRIDE or stupid t-shirts - it's about EQUALITY. I pay the same taxes you do - Federal, State, Local, Property, Sales, etc. -- and if I want to marry my partner of 4 years - I should damn well be able to...in a civil court not a religious church. When your religious views interfere with my civil rights I have a problem!
No. But you are free to make a shirt supporting gay unions or marriages. This is a message of our belief, you can make one of yours and we can agree that we each have the right to our own thoughts and beliefs.
