Maruni-chikiri is a tool for weaving and a stick called Tatemaki-gu. The family crest is a wound thread that describes the state of the connection of the sutra-winding tool. The word also refers to the shape of a cut that connects the members of the wood to each other, and it is thought that the pattern was created with a auspicious meaning that reflected such a tightly connected condition. As a pattern, it has been used since the Fujiwara period and can be seen in "Nenjugyojie" and "Kasuga Gongen Gikie" (Kasuga Gongen Gikie), and it may have become a family crest from the pattern (By Hitoshi TAKAZAWA, "Kamon no Jiten"), and "Heian Monkan" (Heian Era Crest Edition) describes it as a thousand-fold.

This linen paper combined with my design and the printing is more beautiful than I expected. This was a test run which I learned a great deal on (how important it is to wear my glasses!). It feels lovely to the touch; the texture is irresistable, perfect for finely printed wedding invites and announcements. The design is exactly like the photo mock up, the colors, crispness, etc, I couldn't be happier. I recommend customers that make these from scratch to use a template for accurateness of measurements and distances, another valuable lesson learned from my test run!
