【ごかにすみたていつつわりまんじ】吉田松陰の家紋（2013/5/6作図）／松陰は、ペリーの下田再航のとき密航しようとしてつかまった。アメリカの士官に名前を訊かれて、瓜中萬二（うりなかまんじ）と偽ったという。これは本図案の俗称「瓜の内に卍」を捩ってもので、すなわち、松陰の家紋のことである。（参考文献：丹羽基二著「家紋百話（下）」）／偽名には諸説あって、他に叶内万治（かのうちまんじ）、瓜中（くわのう）万二がある。
