【ろくもんせん】銭紋。
六文銭は俗称で、本当は六連銭。人間死ぬと、落ちゆく先が、生前の所業次第で、地獄・餓鬼・畜生・修羅・人間・天上の六道にふるい分けられる。よくしたもので、方面それぞれに、六道能化(のうげ)の地蔵がいて、報賽を受ける。それにいるびた銭で、それ以外の費用はいっさいあちらもち、ということで棺に入れてやる。六道仏説の旗紋・家紋への反映が「六連銭」のわけだ。(高橋賢一著「大名家の家紋」) 真田幸村の家紋として有名。
