The 11th Airborne Division Tribute design honours the brave "Arctic Angels" of the United States military. This airborne force was established in 1943 and rose to prominence in the Philippines during WWII. The Arctic Angels distinguished themselves on the battlefield through thrilling jumps and fierce combat. After their victories, they joined Japan's occupation force, representing strength and resilience. The US Military Alaska Headquarters will be renamed the 11th Airborne Division in 2022. The 1st and 4th Brigade Combat Teams were redesignated as the 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Teams of the 11th Airborne Division.
