Located at 146 Saint Denis St, Natchitoches, LA the image shows a classic example of historic (1700's) French wrought ironwork commonly found in the Natchitoches National Historic Landmark District. This symmetrical scrollwork pattern is a hallmark of Southern architectural metalwork, often referred to as "iron lace". It features intricate curvilinear designs and foliate details created by hand-forging iron.
