Great Blue Heron's are simply amazing. They stand about 4-6 feet tall. They are usually quite skittish so I am always amazed when I get a shot that is up close. They stand so still, you think they are fake, as they wait for their prey. Their vigilance and focus is uncanny. I took this big guy at Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Olympia, WA.
