1905 Art Nouveau Roses Antique Repro Jugendstil Tile
This tile is reproduced from an original German tile dating to 1905. Jugendstil style can perhaps best be described as a type of art nouveau that foreshadowed the art deco movement. Available in 4.5 and 6 inch tiles as well as other items.
Although this tile looks like it has the raised outline detail of the original, it is actually flat, printed in a faux relief or trompe l'oeil ("fool the eye") style that captures the look of the raised detailing on the original on a smooth surfaced ceramic tile

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
