1905 Vintage European Swimming Fish wallpaper Postcard

The swimming fish wallpaper design was created by Latvian textile artist Julijs Straume (1874–1970). After his studies in St. Petersburg, he obtained a scholarship that enabled him to live in Paris from 1905 to 1907. During his stay, he created the most beautiful textile and wallpaper designs of his career, including this lovely arrangement. Swirling fishes pattern in a typical Art Nouveau style in warm bronze, blue and yellow tones. To honour and commemorate the artist, the artwork has captions in English and Latvian ( at the back of the postcard). P.S This is an extremely rare find of vintage Art Nouveau European art; you can get Mucha and William Morris on every corner, but this?! No. Only available exclusively at my shop.
