1914 Map, Santa Barbara to Ventura Poster

This is an enlarged print of a map from an early auto guide book published in 1914. The map shows the old road from Santa Barbara to Ventura includes Carpinteria, the Pacific coast road, and fun little photos of landmarks on the way. Notes to the traveller include, "Sand", "Curves" and "Heavy grades follow phone poles all through mountains." This version includes a "printed" green mat border and title that makes it ready to frame. It is set for a 16 x 20 size. If you want 16 x 20, select customise or “add image and text” and set to 16x20. There is also a version of this with a plain white background and title. The “Hamilton’s Illustrated Auto Roadmap” book had 200 strip maps of California and included small photos of landmarks along the way. Published before the days of AAA books and guides.
