1920s Mad Russian Square Sticker
Not really a Russian guy, he just looks like pix of crazy Russians I've seen, most notably in the 1930s movie 'The Scarlet Empress.' (If you haven't seen it, it's a really bizarre flick about Catherine the Great.) The gent was Monsieur Huberty of the Academie National de Musique et de Danse. The image comes from a 1927 playbill from the troupe's performance of 'Faust.' Note that my shop also has Monsieur Huberty on a gift bag. Wanna see more old? These stickers are great quality, they are of an adequate thickness the glue doesn’t leave a lot of residue if you need to peel it off.
The size is perfect and the design has a softness with the beautiful flowers around the edges. The black lettering on the white background is sharp. It stands out beautifully. I love the Mixture of font styles as it catches the eye.
