It was formed in 1921 and served during World War II, Vietnam War, Korean War and other major campaigns throughout history. The 1st Cavalry Division is a very unique Division which started off as a Cavalry Horse Division, it also turned into an Infantry Division, an Air Assault Division and an Armoured Division throughout its existence.
