It began in the Pacific Ocean and and entered the United States over Oregon and traveledl Southeast through Nevada, Utah, Arizona New Mexico and Texas before continuing through South America. During the annular solar eclipse in these states, the Sun appeared as a “ring of fire” with an orange glow surrounding a dark orb, which is the Moon. In areas not directly in the path of the annular eclipse and other states, a partial solar eclipse was visible.
