The path of this eclipse crossed of the last American total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 in southern Illinois near Carbondale, with two totality events in just seven years. If you missed this event, you’ll have to wait until August 12, 2045 for the next total solar eclipse to cross the United States of America.
