The 25th Infantry Division of the United States Military was formed in Hawaii in 1941 and conducts military operations primarily in the Asian Pacific region. Their nickname is "Tropic Lightning" due to their special role in Jungle Warfare. The 25th saw combat in many campaigns throughout their history beginning in World War II and are still playing a vital role in the current campaigns.
