Reproduced from a circa 1880 series of 12 Mediaeval Minstrel tiles by Copeland & Sons. Each tile features a different musician playing a period instrument in a natural setting. Some of the instruments represented include violin/viola, cello or base, lute, mandolin, drum, pan pipes, recorder, a large zither type of string instrument, and more.
Copeland produced several versions of this series including some in one colour. Our set is in soft jewel tones on buff and gold. Highly collectable. Makes a great backsplash, wall, or accent tile, a set of coasters, trivets, or a gift for the musician or music teacher in your life.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
