This battalion, which was established in 1943, was instrumental in some of the most challenging battles of World War II. In the Battles of Kwajalein, Saipan, Tinian, and the well-known Iwo Jima, they were renowned for their unparalleled bravery and perseverance. Operation Desert Storm was a testament to the 4th Marine Division's unwavering commitment to mission success. This design reflects the culture of the division and the accomplishments of the pioneering women who helped create its successful history.
