A bird perched on a tower nearby looks on whilst someone disturbed by the sound has climbed onto the roof to investigate. The rooftops in the background show spires and domes, characteristic of the Eastern European setting of this rooftop scene, The year is 1851 in this vintage coloured engraving of the cats in concert.
