#9 of 12 Repro 1880s Minton Mocha Bird Series Tile

Minton Tile produced several series of similar bird tiles in the late 1870s through the 1880s. This one has a singing bird on the branch of thorny shrub with berries. It is in a rich, warm sepia and mocha color. Minton tiles were considered among the finest produced in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and are highly collectible.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
