A Ginkgo Crane in a Corner
[Sumikirikuni ichozuru] The original design of the ginkgo pattern was drawn based on the one drawn on the turret of the Nakamura-za Shibai-ya Theater House of Hiroshige UTAGAWA's painting "Toto Prosperous Tokyo" in "Kamon to Myoji" (Family Crest and Family Name) published by Takarajimasha (2014/9/20). Kanzaburo NAKAMURA's original family crest was 'Maizuru in the circle,' but the fifth shogun, Tsunayoshi TOKUGAWA, banned the use of the letters and designs of his beloved daughter, so it looked like a crane with wings spread out, and the design of a ginkgo tree that looked like a fan with a trailing edge was chosen instead (Takarajimasha 'Kamon to Myoji' [Family Crest])
