A Perch of Birds by Hector Giacomelli Yoga Mat

Hector Giacomelli (1822–1904) was a French watercolorist, engraver, and illustrator renowned for his captivating bird paintings. With an Italian father who initially worked as an engraver and later became an industrial designer for a jeweller, Giacomelli's artistic talent was nurtured from a young age. After facing a serious illness at the age of 30, he retreated from Paris and found solace in his new and breathtaking home, where he began to depict plants, insects, and birds through his drawings and paintings. Successful in Paris, Giacomelli developed a deep admiration for the works of Auguste Raffet, eventually publishing a catalogue of Raffet's works in 1862.
