About This Design
Maru ni Mamezōgiri Tea Towel
Maru ni Mamezōgiri is a crest design that resembles paulownia. The use of paulownia crests became widespread during the Edo period, starting with Toyotomi Hideyoshi receiving the crest from the Emperor, and then his daimyo receiving it from him, and their retainers receiving it from them. Eventually, even actors and musicians began using paulownia crests. (From 'The Story of Family Crests' by Azuma Sakazuki)

They absorb so well and wash up really nicely not losing their colour at all. They are expensive but in my opinion they are well worth the money. Yes they turned out perfectly to match my new kitchen
